The National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia dedicated a multimedia exhibition on its website to the 210th anniversary of the birth of Dimitri Kipiani.

Georgian statesman and public figure, publicist, and translator Dimitri Kipiani was born on April 14 (26), 1814. The National Archives of Georgia keeps interesting material about his life and work.

The online exhibition presents photographs, written documents, and periodicals that reflect the important stages of Dimitri Kipiani's personal and public life. Among them are the translation of Shakespeare's "Merchant of Venice," documents of the founding of the society for spreading literacy among Georgians, his letter to Exarch Paul, and other documents.
