Andreas Nefi, Swiss expert in e-archives, visited the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia today.

Within the framework of the three-day workshop, the representatives of the National Archives of Georgia will introduce the guest to the activities and future plans of the National Archives in the field of archiving electronic documents; The expert will share the information on best practices implemented in the world's archives - the OAIS model-based electronic archiving module, software and other topics of interest to the Georgian side.

The National Archives of Georgia has been actively working on archiving electronic documents since 2018. The goal of the Georgian side, based on the International Archives Council's (ICA) archival standards, is to develop a national standard of archival descriptions and to introduce the world experience into Georgian reality.
