Screening of Georgian Animated Films Took Place at the National Archives Cinema

To mark International Children’s Day, a screening of Georgian animated films was held at the National Archives cinema.

Young audiences enjoyed a selection of beloved animated features, including: "The Man and the Lion" (directed by Gabriel Lavrelashvili, 1969), "Kursha Got Conceited" (directed by Gabriel Lavrelashvili, 1984), "The Strongest" (directed by Amiran Isiani, 1996), "The Skillful Craftsman Underwater" (directed by Vakhtang Bakhtadze, 1977), and "The Poacher's Adventures" (directed by Givi Kasradze, 1974).

The animated films featured in the program have all undergone restoration at the National Archives of Georgia in recent years. These films are preserved within the collections of the National Archives, the "Georgian Film" studio, and the Georgian Public Broadcaster's archives.

Now a well-established tradition, these screenings aim to introduce children to Georgia’s animated heritage while ensuring the films are shown in their best possible quality.
