Fourth International Conference was opened

Fourth International Conference of National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia "Archival Studies, Source Studies – Trends and Challenges" was opened today by the Director General of National Archives of Georgia Teona Iashvili and Chairman of European Council of International Archives (EURBICA), Director of Malta National Archives, honorable guest Charles J. Farrugia at the Exhibition Pavilion of the National Archives.

The conference was welcomed by the President of the International Council on Archives (ICA) David Fricker.

About 170 Georgian and foreign scientists will participate in the three-day conference.

The Conference consists following scientific directions: archival studies; source studies; study of antiquities; history/art history/ ethnology; philology (textual criticism/study); political science and law; intercultural communications; restoration/Conservation; digital archives and databases; cultural heritage management; Georgia and the South Caucasus in 1918-1921.
