Representatives of the National Archives Discussed Relevant Topics of the Archival Field with Colleagues from Adjara

For the purpose of sharing knowledge and experience in the archival field, and of discussing new developments and challenges within the professional circle, representatives of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia held a working meeting at the Archival Department of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

The archivists discussed issues of document preservation and registration, the improvement of the scientific-reference apparatus, and the acquisition of the National Archival Fund. Representatives of the National Archives shared with their colleagues their experience in the work of institutional archives, expert commissions, and the scientific-technical processing of institutional documents. Among the topics discussed were also the services for citizens and researchers, as well as digital archives and document digitization.

As the body responsible for managing and developing the National Archival Fund, the National Archives continuously cooperates with various archival institutions operating in Georgia for the advancement of the archival field.
