"Georgia and the United States. History of Diplomatic Relations"—jubilee exhibition in the National Archives

"Georgia and the United States. History of Diplomatic Relations"—an exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries—was opened in the exhibition pavilion of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

The exposition reflects the relationship between Georgia and the U.S. from the period of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia to the present, displaying the long and diverse history of cooperation between the two countries as well as the strategic partnership of these states.

The event was opened by Teona Iashvili, Director General of the National Archives of Georgia. Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lasha Darsalia, U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan, and Cultural Attaché of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia Christopher Anderson addressed the visitors of the exhibition.

The "Krtsanisi" ensemble from the Center for Culture, Education, and Sports of the Union of the Blind participated in the opening of the exhibition and performed Georgian folk songs.

The organizers of the event are the National Archives of Georgia and the U.S. Embassy in Georgia.

Exhibits include photographs and written documents kept in the National Archives of Georgia, the US Embassy in Georgia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, the U.S. Embassy in Georgia, and other organizations.

The exhibition will last until the end of January 2023.
