The National Archives of Georgia participated in the Congress of the International Center for Archival Research

The delegation of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia participated in the #32 convention of the International Center for Archival Research's (ICARUS)  and "Archives and research—between analog and digital" was the conference's central focus.

In a discussion with Birgit Kibal, chairperson of the International Center for Archival Research, the delegation members talked about the next step and strengthening collaboration between ICARUS and the National Archives of Georgia.

In addition, Sophio Jobava, head of the National Archives' Department of Relations with Public and International Organizations, and Khatia Kinkladze, chief specialist in the same department, gave a presentation on German settlements in Georgia using records from the 19th and 20th centuries preserved in the National Archives.

The convention of the International Center for Archival Research (ICARUS) is held annually in the spring and autumn and provides for the gathering of member archives of the Center. The first convention of 2024 was held in the city of Novi Sad in the Republic of Serbia.
