On September 25, the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia opened the 10th International Scientific Conference "Archival Studies, Source Studies - Trends and Challenges".
In her welcoming speech, the Director General of the National Archives, Teona Iashvili, noted that this year’s conference is dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of King Vakhtang VI, with a separate scientific session devoted to the king’s life and work.
The conference, in which more than 160 Georgian and foreign scholars and researchers are participating, encourages new scientific and academic studies, fosters close cooperation among Georgian and international scholars, promotes the exhange of innovations and experience, and strengthens the scientific and academic partnerships of the National Archives.
The scientific and academic directions of the conference include: philology; history; source studies; archival studies; ethnology; anthropology; art studies; cultural studies; digital aesthetics and design; digital archives and databases; conservation-restoration.
