Registration of Participants in the Educational Project of the First Republic of Georgia is Underway

Applications for the annual school-educational project of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia will be held on February 25.

100 years have passed since the establishment of the First Republic of Georgia in 2018. For this date, the National Archives increased the scope of the project and any team of any school can participate in the project.

After completion of registration, the participants will get an electronic version of the literature, reflecting the history of 1918-1921 from the National Archives. The groups of VIII-XII graders will be formed in schools, who will compete in the semi-final (semi-final stage for schools in Western Georgia will be held in Kutaisi and for schools in eastern Georgia – in Tbilisi) in April and the finale (in Tbilisi) will be held in May. The winners will be revealed in several nominations and awarded with different prizes and certificates.

Up to now 80 school teams have been already registered.

The educational project - the First Democratic Republic of Georgia - was founded in 2015 and its purpose is to get students interested in the history of the First Republic of Georgia. More than 700 students have been involved in the project.
