The cinema of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia will host a retrospective of Georgian cinema of the 1920s and 30s for 4 weeks starting on December 2.

The screenings will be opened on December 2, at 19:00, with the film "Vin Aris Damnashave?" ("Rider of the Wild West") (1925), directed by Alexander Tsutsunava. Within the framework of the event, a total of 19 Georgian feature films will be shown till December 25.

The films presented at the retrospective were digitized and restored in high quality during the past few years in cooperation with the National Archives of Georgia and the National Film Center of Georgia.

Among the films are: "Ori Monadire", "Khanuma", "Khabarda", "Americanca", "Eliso", "Surami’s Tsikhe", "Bela", "Kajet", "Ghrubelta Tavshesafari", "Amok", "Gogi Ratian", "Comunari Chibukhi", "Samanishvili's Dedinatsvali", "Krazana", "Dakarguli Samotkhe", "Buba", "Uzhmuri". The retrospective will close on December 25, at 17:00, with the film by Alexander Tsutsunava - "Janki Guriashi" (1928). The electronic music created especially for this film by the composer Vazha Mari will be performed live during the screening.

The organizers of the film screenings are the National Film Center of Georgia and the National Archives of Georgia.
