Films preserved at the National Archives will be shown at Tbilisi International Film Festival

In the frames of the 13th Tbilisi International Film Festival 4 short films from the period of silent films, preserved at the Audio-Visual and Film Archives of the National Archives of Georgia, will be shown in the fifth hall of Rustaveli Cinema on December 5, at 20:00.  

The films chosen from the genre of “Kulturfilm” unites the conception “Body/Machine”. The selected films to be shown at the festival are directed by Kote Mikaberidze, Vasil Dolenko, Vakhtang Shvelidze and Alexandre Jaliashvili. The screenings will be accompanied by the live music of Rezo Kiknadze and ensemble Consilia.

The 13th Tbilisi International Film Festival will be held in Tbilisi from 3 to 9 December organized by the cinematographic art center “Promete”. On the screens of cinemas all movies, non commercial or experimental in total 130 films will be shown during a week in the frames of the festival. The goal of the festival is to present the best works of the world and Georgian cinematography and promote drawing together the representatives of different cultures.
