International conference was opened in the National Archives

International conference “Archival, Source, Antiquity Studies – Trends and Modern Challenges”, organized by the National Archives of Georgian was opened today.

Deputy Minister of Justice Mikheil Sarjveladze, General Director of the National Archives of Georgia Teona Iashvili, Rector of the Tbilisi State University Darejan Tvaltvadze, Director of the Korneli Kelelidze National Centre of Manuscripts Zaza Abashidze, Director of the George Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Prevention Mariam Didebulidze made welcome speeches.

The goal of the conference is to bring together foreign scientists, to broaden communication, to discuss issues of source and antiquity studies in the Archives’ space, to share knowledge and experience by means of electronic databases and to carry out the scientific innovations.

42 presenters are participating in the Conference. Among them are the Georgian and foreign scientists from various educational, scientific and cultural organizations.
