The photo collection of Dimitri Mdzinarishvili has been published on the website of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.
The collection includes portraits and documentary photographs depicting the lives and work of renowned artists, actors, writers, musicians, and other prominent figures in the arts. Among those captured through Dimitri Mdzinarishvili’s lens are Lado Gudiashvili, Konstantine Gamsakhurdia, Vasil Amashukeli, Giorgi Leonidze, Iamze Dolaberidze, Liana Isakadze, and others.
Dimitri Mdzinarishvili was a photographer and collector, Deputy Director of the Georgian Museum of Fine Arts, and an administrator at Georgia’s Scientific-Popular and Documentary Film Studio. His family donated his collection to the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia in 1989 and 1996, comprising five photo albums (over 400 photographic prints) and more than 600 photographic negatives.
