Public school N199 of Tbilisi has won in the educational project of the National Archives

The National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia's educational project, "First Democratic Republic of Georgia," recognized public school N199 in Tbilisi as the winner. Public School N2 in Ambrolauri took second and Public School N42 in Tbilisi came in third.

40 teams from public and private schools competed in the project's final game, which was held today at the "Biltmore Hotel" in Tbilisi. Notebooks were presented to the first-place winners, headphones to the second-place winners, and smartwatches to the third-place winners.

The team from the public school in Zakhunderi village of Lentekhi Municipality, representing the highest mountain region among the finalists, received gifts as an act of appreciation for their successful participation in the project. Gifts were also given to Poti Public School N5, which was the team from Western Georgia with the highest score.

Michel Ramishvili, the grandson of Noe Ramishvili, the first Chairman of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Georgia, and Teona Iashvili, the General Director of the National Archives, presented the recipients with awards.

In order to engage students with the history of our nation from 1918 to 1921, the National Archives laid the groundwork for an educational project in 2015. An intellectual game is used to undertake the 'What? Where? When?' project. In Georgia, schools serving over 250 students in grades VIII through XI took part in the program in 2024.

Both Georgia's Ministry of Education and Science and Ministry of Justice provided support for the project's implementation.
