The Semifinal of the Educational Project of the National Archives has ended

The semifinal of the educational project of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia on the topic of the First Republic of Georgia was held in Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi at the same time.

About 370 schools were participating in the semifinal from all over Georgia. Each team from each school consists of 5 main and 1 reserve players.

60 schools having the best results in the semifinal will compete in the final, which will be held on 21 May in Tbilisi.

The teams, competing in the final stage, will be determined based on the sum of the results of the semifinals held in all three cities and the teams will be able to appeal till 29 April. On May 2 the list of finalists will be known.

The event is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the First Republic of Georgia. The semifinal and final stages will be leaded by a Georgian club “What? Where? When?”.

The educational project was founded in 2015 and it aims to encourage the students to take interest in the history of the First Republic. The contestants of the project have been given electronic versions of the historic publications of 1918-1921, based on which the questions of the semifinal and final stages have been prepared.

The winners of the project will be awarded with prizes and certificates.
