Annual Conference of the National Archives will be Dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of Independence

 

The annual conference “Archival Studies, Source Studies – Trends and Challenges” of the National Archives of Georgia that will be held on September 20-22, 2018 will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of restoration of the Independence of Georgia. Besides the traditional blocs, the separate direction of the conference will be topics linked with the Georgian and South Caucasus of 1918-21, previous period of declaration of the independence of Georgia and the emigration of the first Georgian Democratic Republic.

Call for papers if the participants of the conference is already announced.

The goal of the conference is to collect the scientific innovations, to bring together the Georgian and foreign scientists to broaden the communication, to promote the interdisciplinary and intercultural researches, to seek for the adaptation ways of the modern requests of the Cultural Heritage Management, to share the novelties of the digital humanitarian sphere.

The conference consists several scientific directions: Georgia and South Caucasus in 1918-1921; archival studies; source studies; history/art history/ethnography; philology; restoration-conservation; cultural heritage management, etc. 

The conference package foresees small educational programs, held in the framework of the plenary sessions.

The International Conference was first organized in 2016.
