Exhibition "King Erekle Ii - 300" was Opened in the National Archives of Georgia

To mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of the King Erekle II, an exhibition was opened today in the exhibition pavilion of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

The 300th anniversary of the birth of King Erekle is celebrated on October 7, 2020 (old style).

The jubilee exhibition presents the originals and photocopies in connection with King Erekle II, preserved in the National Archives of Georgia. Exhibits include: historical documents, manuscripts, personal letters, Erekle's printing press editions, portraits of the king and his family, etc.

The exhibits also reflect the military-political and personal life of the distinguished king of Georgia.

In order to prevent the spread of infection caused by the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) (COVID-19), restrictions are in force in the exhibition pavilion and the visitor should follow the relevant recommendations. Detailed information is available at the link:https://archive.gov.ge/ge/pavilioni.   

The exhibition will last till November 3 and it is free of charge.
