Minister of Justice, Thea Tsulukiani inspected the construction site of Kvemo Kartli Regional Archive of the National Archives of Georgia in Rustavi.

“We are building Kvemo Kartli Regional Archive. It will be more solid building that will ensure the special conditions for the testimony of the National Memory. This is a modern project, but absolutely conformable to the conditions necessary for the preservation of different documents that will provide their transmission to the future generations safely. I’m happy the tender was won by the trustworthy construction company that will build a high-quality building for the regional archive,” – said the Minister of Justice.

According to the information of General Director of the National Archives of Georgia, Teona Iashvili the regional archive will be located in 5-storey building with a total area of 1558 m2. 284 509 archival documents of Rustavi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Dmanisi, Bolnisi, Tetritskaro, Tsalka will be stored in Kvemo Kartli Regional Archive.

The construction of the archive building, located on Friendship Avenue, opposite Rustavi Public Service Hall, will be finished by the end of the year. Construction works are held company “Alliance” Ltd.
