The exhibition “Lithuania and Georgia in Historical Sources” was opened today at the exhibition Gallery of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.
At the opening of the exhibition, depicting the relationship between Lithuania and Georgia, Ms. Teona Iashvili, General Director of the National Archives of Georgia, H.M. GIEDRIUS PUODŽIŪNAS, Ambassador of Lithuania to Georgia, Mr. Ramoius Krauelis, director of the Central State Archive of Lithuania and Mr. Gigi Gigiadze, Deputy Minister of the Foreign Affairs addressed the guests.
The archival documents, presented at the exhibition are preserved in the National Archives of Georgia, National Center of Manuscripts, Kaunas County Archive, State Historical Archive of Lithuania, Kaunas Region Public Library and Literature Museum of the Lithuania. Among the documents are: the maps of Georgia, Lithuania and Europe; the letters preserved at the fonds of Kirion II, data about Pazaislis monastery; material depicting the economic relationship between the countries (1920-1930) and others.
The exhibition is free of charge.
