Photo-chronicle of the First World War in the exhibition pavilion of the National Archives

In the exhibition pavilion of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, an exhibition of photos of Nino Jorjadze, sister of mercy of the First World War and the first photo-documentary woman, was opened.

The exposition “Nino Jorjadze Caucasus Front /1914 – 1918/” is part of the photo festival “Kolga Tbilisi Photo”.

Her lens captured the daily life of the war: extreme situations, military, injuries, refugees, and doctors.

The curator of the exhibition is art critic Lika Mamatsashvili. The owners of the family archive are Tamar Lortkipanidze and Aleksandre Bagrationi.

The exhibition pavilion of the National Archives will host the expositions till May 21. Attendance is free.
