The 4th International Archival Film Festival Has Concluded

The 4th International Archival Film Festival concluded after four days of screenings at the cinema of the National Archives of Georgia. The Audience had the opportunity to watch more than 20 feature, animated and documentary films presented by film archive institutions from 11 countries.

At the festival’s closing event, the Georgian National Film Center screened Eldar Shengelaia’s feature film "Mikela", dedicated to the memory of the renowned director.

Held from October 21 to 24, the festival featured programs themed “Auteur Cinema” curated by the film archive organizations of Georgia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Moldova, Portugal, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Malta and Belgium. Each participating institution received a special award in recognition of their contribution to the festival.

The National Archives of Georgia founded the Tbilisi International Archival Film Festival in 2022.
