"The National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia is working to create a digital archive," the Minister of Justice said at the presentation of the 10-year action plan.
According to Rati Bregadze, using modern technologies, the materials preserved in the National Archives should become more protected and widely available to our society. To ensure this, the digitization process will be fully completed, which will make our foundation even more secure and accessible to a wider audience.
According to the Minister, digital documents issued by state authorities will be stored in the electronic archive, the combination of which is the legal history of the state.
The National Archives is also actively working on the digitization of materially created documents and the introduction of archiving software; Up to 8 million pages of material documents are currently digitized in the National Archives.
